Bizarrap presented its new “music session” with the Mexican Natanael Cano

Bizarrap, Natanael Cano – Natanael Cano || BZRP Music Sessions #59

This Wednesday night “BZRP Music Session #59” was released, Bizarrap’s new creation within its own saga. This time, the award-winning Argentine producer recorded with the Mexican Natanael Cano, one of the references of the corridos tumbados. And he did it twice, since this work is divided into two chapters: the first is called “Endiamantado” and the second is an extra track titled “Entre las de 20”.

In the run-up to this premiere, Biza did a live stream from their Instagram account to talk to their followers. “The topic is coming up, I came to let you know that,” the producer said simply, wearing his classic cap and a jacket from the Argentine soccer team in the best Pablo Lescano style. “We’re about to release the song,” he repeated over the music he was listening to as a warm-up. This is Bizarrap’s second release in 2024, since last January he released “number 58” with the Puerto Rican Young Miko.

Biza took advantage of this live to give some details of this recording with the Mexican artist. “I have prepared this song more or less since 2021, from the first time we got together with Nata. I wanted to get together with him for a long time: I discovered him in 2019, that’s when I started listening to his music. I spent about a year or so talking to him until we were able to get together. I admire him a lot, he seems like a genius to me, a pioneer in what he did. And I always respected him a lot,” said the Argentine.

“I have been going to Mexico since 2020 to do shows and we always had a very good relationship with the public. So for me having Nata in the sessions is spectacular. I know that he is a legend there but I would like all the people who may not know him to give him a listen, so that they realize how great he is. In his genre he is one of the pioneers or one of the greatest pioneers. Along with Danny Félix, who was recording a requinto for one of the songs, because it is not a single song. I wanted to tell you that too. We spent a long time doing this and in the middle we were doing other things and what we ended up liking is what is going to come out in this project. And I’m really happy to have finally collaborated with him,” Biza added about the reasons that led him to do a double session.

“We had one of the songs three years ago, now. We made twenty thousand versions. One of those leaked, I don’t know how. I told Nata that he leaked it to me, but he tells me no. It’s all right, Nata, nothing’s wrong. I am very careful with the songs, although some leaked to me,” the producer joked and revealed that the fragment that was leaked at the time remains in the song he released today. “It’s a laid-back trap, which at the time was what I liked most about it, more or less in 2019, 2020. Later you will see that in the song, obviously, I added that part that had leaked, which I didn’t I was going to put it on, but I added it because I thought it added to the song. Also, people had already gotten used to listening to it, so it didn’t seem right to bring it out,” he explained.

“I did this session at the same time that we did the one with Eladio (Carrión), the one with Snow Tha Product, the one with Nicky Jam. It’s that same trip that I made all those songs on. “I made three or four songs a week at that time,” he explained. “We made a thousand versions, a thousand lyrics, we changed it, we took things out of it, we added it. What did remain from the first time is the chorus and a part of Nata’s verse, which ended up remaining. The chorus… I just started looking at the original project, I saw how I recorded the vocals and it was Nata throwing freestyle flows and he took the chorus in one of the first takes. And I became obsessed with this song,” he added in this regard.

“The other issue for me is a fear, too. More corrido”, he defined the style of “Entre las de 20”, which shows Cano in his most classic register. This is not Bizarrap’s first collaboration with a tumbados corridos artist: in June of last year he released “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 55″ with Peso Pluma.

Natanael Cano is 23 years old. He was born in 2001 in the city of Hermosillo, Mexico. He started singing and playing guitar at family events when he was just 9 years old. He became known when he ventured into corridos tumbados, a genre that combines regional Mexican with storytelling and other elements of trap. He released his first single in 2018 and is called “The One with the Gucci Glasses.” A year later his first album, Everything is different, was released.

“El Drip” was one of his first hits and is found within his collaborative album Corridos Tumbados, also released in 2019. But his name transcended the borders of Mexico after Bad Bunny participated in the remix of “Soy el diablo.” On the other hand, Cano has already collaborated with artists such as Alejandro Fernández, Snoop Dogg, Steve Aoki, Nicky Jam, Tokischa and, of course, with other strong numbers from the corridos tumbados such as Peso Pluma and Fuerza Regida. Although over the years she opened up to flirting with trap and electronic music, her latest album so far shows him deeply rooted in her roots: it is called Nata Montana and she published it in June 2023.
