Bitstamp Added to UK FCA Register of Cryptocurrency Companies for AML Compliance

The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has added the Bitstamp bitcoin exchange to the register of registered cryptocurrency companies. Relevant Information placed on the regulator’s website.

The decision took effect June 13 and reflects the firm’s compliance with anti-money laundering regulations.

The list also includes the brokerage company Interactive Brokers. In 2021, she launched cryptocurrency trading, and later announced the transition of digital asset trading to 24/7 mode and the addition of new coins to the listing.

Earlier, FCA approval was received by a subsidiary of the Kraken bitcoin exchange and the infrastructure provider MoonPay. At the time of writing, the registry includes more than 40 companies.
