Latin American Bitfinex P2P users will be able to trade with Bitcoin and Ethereum, USDT and EURT stablecoins, and Tether Gold (XAUT) tokenized gold.

“We believe in the transformative power of Bitcoin and other digital assets, as well as the importance of expanding access to innovative financial technologies around the world,” said Bitfinex CTO Paolo Ardoino.

Recall that in February, the LocalBitcoins P2P platform announced its closure. The service has been operating since 2012, enjoying considerable popularity.

Paxful shut down in April. In May, its co-founder Ray Youssef announced aspirations to launch a “censorship-resistant and globally public” clone of a P2P service called Civ Kit.
