The expansion plan includes‍ the construction⁤ of ‍60 new 5G‌ base stations in previously unserved areas,as well as the modernization of 210 ⁣existing base ‍stations⁢ using cutting-edge Ericsson technology. By the end of 2025, Bite Latvija‌ aims to have a total of⁢ 1,160​ base stations, with 836 supporting 5G. This expansion ‌will⁤ cover major cities like Riga, ⁤Ventspils,⁤ and Jelgava, and also⁣ smaller towns and‌ rural areas, ensuring widespread coverage across the country. The company is also focusing on ⁤improving coverage along⁤ major ⁣highways.

Beyond the 5G+ ⁤rollout, Bite Latvija is also modernizing its⁢ optical network, boosting internet⁤ speeds​ to 1 Gbps ​in areas previously ‌lacking such high-speed access. Mickevicius further highlighted the surging demand for high-speed internet. “This clearly demonstrates the growing‌ demand for fast⁤ and stable Internet in the private, business and public sectors. Thus, in ⁤2025, using 5G power, we will ⁢devote significant⁢ attention to ‍the improvement ⁤of Bites services, continuing⁢ to offer customers the highest quality basic services, i.e., voice, mobile‍ and optical ⁤Internet, ⁤as well as TV services, combined in advantageous⁢ offers.
