Bitcoin Price Prediction: Expert Forecasts Drop to $50,000 and Altcoins at Risk

If we can believe the crypto analyst Cold Blooded Shiller, the price of Bitcoin (BTC) could fall significantly further. This largest cryptocurrency has already seen a significant drop, but the expert predicts another correction up to $50,000. According to him, altcoins could face an even stronger crash.

Currently the BTC price it is in a multi-day downtrend. On April 12, Bitcoin was worth almost $71,000, but the price has now fallen to $62,870, a drop of almost 12% in a few days.

A major reason for this correction is increasing market uncertainty, caused by fears of continued high interest rates in the United States and geopolitical tensions around the world. As a result, investors are withdrawing their money from riskier investments such as cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin price to $50,000?

If Cold Blooded Shiller’s prediction is to be believed, Bitcoin’s correction is not over yet. According to the analysis, the currency could still go through a correction of 30%. He shared this prediction through the X social media platform, referring to Bitcoin’s previous price action.

Historically, Bitcoin has experienced corrections 30% more often. If the price falls 30% from the recent high of $71,000, that would bring it to a price of around $50,000. That’s still $12,000 less than the current price.

Altcoins are hit harder

According to the crypto trader, altcoins can expect an even steeper decline than Bitcoin. He notes that historically, smaller cryptocurrencies tend to decrease in value more quickly during market corrections. According to his estimates, these altcoins could lose up to 50% of their value.

For projects like Solana (SOL), this could lead to a price drop below $100. For Ethereum (ETH), such a drop could even bring the price back to around $2,000.
