65 countries now

Strike CEO Jack Malers announced Friday at the Bitcoin 2023 conference in Miami Beach, Florida, that the app is expanding to 65 countries.

Strike uses both the Lightning Network – a secondary network for cheaper and faster Bitcoin transactions – to provide global payment services and cross-border money transfers.

The app now has a completely new user interface and also gives users the ability to hold funds in Bitcoin (BTC) and Tether (USDT).

The target is all humans

Strike expects that expansion will increase its total market to approximately 3 billion people.

“Our ultimate goal is to reach 7-8 billion people from every country,” Manuela Rios, Vice President of Production at Strike, said in an interview with CoinDesk.

Rios says the app’s new user interface will feature a seamless setup experience, something she said the company has been working on for years.

Royce explained that the interface works very efficiently in the United States and has a very distinct design, but the matter is not at the same level in other countries due to the remoteness of the regulatory rules.

Bitcoin now records $26,926 per symbol, up by 0.19%, while Ethereum records $1,810.48, down by 0.13% in today’s trading.
