New York Mayor Willing to Do Anything to Save Crypto Mining
The bill passed on June 3, 2022 in the New York State Assembly imposes a two-year moratorium (minimum). This moratorium concerns cryptocurrency mining activities that do not use 100% renewable energy. This delay would allow the state environmental agency to investigate the effects of crypto mining activities on the environment.
