Bitcoin literally to the moon; this moon mission will put BTC on the moon this year » Crypto Insiders

Astrobotic Technology, an American space company, is going to literally send bitcoin to the moon later this year. The company will announce this together with BitMEX this weekend during the Bitcoin 2021 conference in Miami.

The launch will take place in November 2021 on the Pergrine-1, the company’s first commercial lunar lander. The lunar lander is controlled via the Lunar PayLoad Services, or NASA’s commercial lunar payload service.

A single bitcoin will be brought to the surface of the moon. The bitcoin will be on a public address so that anyone can witness it once someone ever comes to collect the bitcoin. You can also send additional BTC to the address.

“A unique physical coin marks the momentous event. One side dedicated to the triumphs of space travel, the other to crypto. The coin captures this historic moment and displays the current Bitcoin hash rate, the year and a quote from Satoshi Nakamoto.”

Recently, a space company announced that it will send crypto to the moon. Last month, the Geometric Energy Corporation reported that it will launch the “DOGE-1 Mission to the Moon” next year.

This moon mission is being conducted in partnership with Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s SpaceX and will only accept Dogecoin (DOGE) to fund the mission. Musk previously hinted that SpaceX will “literally take dogecoin to the moon.” However, this is not a physical coin that is actually placed on the moon, as with the bitcoin in Astrobotic’s moon mission.
