Bitcoin falls 8.4% due to conflict in the Middle East – Diario La Página – 2024-04-15 13:17:53

The price of bitcoin registered a collapse of more than 8.4% on Saturday, after Iran’s attacks against Israel intensified tensions in the Middle East, as confirmed on the Cointelegraph portal.

The cryptocurrency was worth $61,625 per unit, wiping out more than $130 million in market capitalization in a matter of minutes.

Other major cryptocurrencies also suffered losses: Ether fell 9.8% to $2,927, while Solana plummeted 15.96% to $129.

In total, the capitalization of the global cryptocurrency market fell by 8.19% to $2.23 trillion.
