Bitcoin breached the $90,000 barrier for the first time today, with the world’s best-known cryptocurrency continuing its impressive rally following Donald Trump‘s victory in the US presidential election.
Its price is expected by many investors to continue making new records up to $100,000 in the next period, before the end of the year.
Trump is seen as more supportive of cryptocurrencies than Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, and the market is discounting a softer line on cryptocurrency regulation under the new Trump administration.
Bitcoin breached the $90,000 mark around 16:30 Greek time, reaching even above $91,000 and a few minutes later closed up 2.66% at $90,670.
