Bitcoin and other cryptos are almost certain to have a bad ending

KONTAN.CO.ID – NEW YORK. World-renowned investor Warren Buffett warns people not to invest in Bitcoin. He thinks the crypto currency may contain dangerous rat poison.

Warren Buffett, chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, has repeatedly said Bitcoin is a bad investment.

Before the 2018 Berkshire annual meeting, he made a comparison cryptocurrency with the possibility of a rat poison box.

“Bitcoin itself doesn’t create anything. When you buy a nonproductive asset, what you rely on is that the next person will pay you more because they’re even more excited if someone else comes,” he explained to CNBC.

Buffet has indeed mentioned cryptocurrency several times.

A few weeks earlier, Buffett’s nicknamed the “Oracle of Omaha” had argued that investing in Bitcoin was a gamble.

“If you want to gamble, someone else will come and pay more money tomorrow, that’s one type of game. It’s not an investment,” he explained as quoted by the report. Express.co.uk.

He also warned investors that Bitcoin and cryptocurrency others “almost certainly” will bring about a bad ending.

And, the year before, he stated that the Bitcoin market is a bubble or bubbles. “You can’t value Bitcoin because it’s not a value-producing asset,” Buffett said.
