BISON FUTE: Heavy traffic on the A6 in Burgundy

Like Saturday, the crossing of Burgundy is once again very complicated at the end of the day on Sunday January 3.

At 5 p.m., Bison Futé announced a 26 km traffic jam on the A6, from Lyon to Paris (south-north direction) between PR 287 and 261 in Côte d’Or, from Bligny-sur-Ouche to Thoisy-le- Desert.

On Twitter, Autoroute Infos advised motorists to avoid the A6 motorway from Lyon and to take the A42, the A40 at Bourg-en-Bresse and continue by the A39 to Dijon. Then towards Paris, many slowdowns are underway at the end of the holiday period.

Yesterday, Saturday, the service areas like that of Mâcon la Salle towards Beaune, were around 4 p.m. completely inaccessible. The influx of holidaymakers has led to the formation of a real traffic jam at the entrance to this area, further disrupting traffic on the highway.
