Weifa. A female driver drove off the road in the Steinigtwolmsdorf district of Weifa and crashed into a house wall – apparently because she had drunk too much alcohol. The accident occurred on Monday, August 12, 2024, shortly before 6 a.m.
The 34-year-old lost control of her Ford on Lindenstrasse, first hitting a wooden fence and then crashing her car into the facade of a house, a police spokesman reported.
The woman only suffered minor injuries. However, there was considerable damage of around 13,500 euros. An alcohol test on the woman showed a blood alcohol level of 1.34 per mille. Police officers from the Bautzen police station recorded the accident and secured the scene. For evidence purposes, they ordered a blood sample to be taken from the German woman and confiscated her driver’s license. She is now being investigated for endangering road traffic. (SZ)
