Bischofsheim: cyclists hit by a car

A 60-year-old cyclist who wanted to cross the road on Tuesday morning (15), around 7 am, “Am Schindberg”, at the Sonnenwerk recycling center in Bischofsheim, was hit by a 44-year-old motorist for an unknown reason and seriously injured. The 60-year-old was transported to the clinic by rescue helicopter.

By order of the Darmstadt prosecutor’s office, the police called in an expert to clarify the cause of the accident. The motorcycle and the car involved in the accident were seized by the police. The crew of a police helicopter also took aerial photos of the crash site. A blood sample was taken from the 44-year-old driver on suspicion of the effects of alcohol. The investigations are ongoing.
