The gendarmes who facilitate births: a story which is becoming more and more common in Deux-Sèvres. On August 30, 2023, motorcyclists from the Road Safety Squadron escorted a woman between Saint-Maixent and Niort, leading to the birth of little Kilian.
This time, it was between Chef-Boutonne and Niort that the beautiful story happened. The gendarmes of the Deux-Sèvres group report it on their Facebook page.
A woman reaching the end of her pregnancy, they say. feel the warning signs of an imminent arrival! Without delay, the couple got into their car and left their home in Chef-Boutonne to reach the maternity ward in Niort. On the way, the contractions become closer and closer and more painful….
