Auenstein
At the community meeting (52 of 1216 voters were present) on Thursday, the sovereign of Auenstein decided on a loan of 280,000 francs for the planning of a new filter well in the groundwater pumping station. This became necessary because the old well was irreparably damaged, but the village’s independent water supply depends on it.
The loan of 390,000 francs for the network expansion “Unter dem Hard” and for the protection against fire and the development of the Wilhof, the bill for 2021 and the loan statement for the renovation of the community center/old school were also approved. (wif)

The 46 voters present out of a total of 1,977 voters also approved the commitment credit of CHF 490,000 for the renovation of Wydenstrasse, including works lines and adjustment of signage in the “Bachtele” and “Wyde” areas. According to the embassy, the renewal must take place for direct access to the new Birrfeld depot and to ensure the development of the Birr industrial area and the Freiverlad SBB.
The partial change in the municipal use plan for cultivated land regarding the “Neuhof material mining zone” caused some questions about understanding from the Birr population. In the end, this deal was also accepted with 34 votes to 10 – plus two abstentions. (mre)
