Weißenburg (red). Since 16.02. the new feature film “VogelPerspectives” by director Jörg Adolph will be shown in cinemas throughout Germany. “Conservation work on the big screen? Doesn’t sound all that sexy at first,” that’s probably what some people think when they hear about the new feature film Bird’s Eye Views for the first time.
However, the director Jörg Adolph not only manages to capture the beauty of the birds and to show the enthusiasm for bird watching, but also gives intimate
and honest insights into the work of the oldest nature conservation association in Bavaria, the LBV. In just under 150 minutes, the cinema viewers are taken along, to one
gripping journey along fantastic nature shots, successful stories by the book author Arnulf Conradi and highlights of nature conservation such as the Bavarian one

Referendum on biodiversity “Save the bees” or the release of the two bearded vultures Wally and Bavaria. The documentary film not only gives a glimpse behind the scenes of a nature conservation association like the LBV, it not only shows highly exciting scenes from practical but also political nature conservation, but also encourages people to become active themselves and gives hope that the twin crises from the climate catastrophe can be overcome and loss of biodiversity.

At two special screenings, cinema-goers in Treuchtlingen and Weißenburg were also able to enjoy the film and the LBV activists from the district, dem
District chairman Sebastian Amler and at the special screening in Weißenburg also the LBV chairman and film protagonist Dr. Norbert Schäffer questions about the film, about the work of the
LBV and current topics in nature conservation. For example, the interested audience in Weißenburg received answers to the questions of how it actually came about that the LBV can be seen in a Germany-wide cinema film, how our biodiversity is currently after the referendum won, but also to whether the Bavarian Prime Minister has already given feedback on the film.

After the question and answer session, the state chairman Dr. Schäffer and the district chairman Amler will continue to be available for discussions with the interested audience. Haven’t seen the film yet? No problem. The film will continue to be shown in the normal programs of the cinemas in Treuchtlingen and Weißenburg in the next few days. As a real highlight of the year 2023, there will also be an open-air performance of bird’s-eye views on Altmühlsee in summer.

Anyone interested in nature conservation will have the opportunity to delve deeper into the topic on March 4th.
