In connection with the Day of Birds and Trees on May 10, the National Botanical Garden in Vácrátót welcomes those interested for a family day with an extremely rich program on Saturday, and as part of the Day of Memorials, which falls on the second weekend of May each year, there will also be a meaningful community event at the Hétkápolna in the afternoon of the same day.
As for the botanic garden program, its time is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., there is no separate participation fee, the entrance fee to the botanic garden is sufficient.
Participants can look for answers to such questions under the guidance of the contributing specialists:
- Can you recognize birds by their sounds?
- What are the oldest trees in the botanical garden?
- What kind of tenants can the birdhouse have?
- Which is the tallest tree in the garden?
- How can you tell the difference between a tulip tree leaf and a maple leaf?
These questions will also be answered and many other interesting facts will be told by the programming specialists during the free guided walks related to birds and trees and at the stands around the Manor.

Walks that can be walked independently with a walking board: Bark walking board, Birds walking board. Walking cards can be requested at the ticket office and at the tree-themed table.
Games that can be solved while walking in the garden: literary treasure hunt, garden quiz. The treasure hunt and the quiz can be requested at the tree-themed table.
