[BIPV 아카이브] Sunfleur Energy Solution enhances BIPV efficiency with automatic opening and closing method

Operates according to situations such as ‘sun angle’ and ‘air conditioner operation’… Compensation for structural and aesthetic issues

The BIPV industry is focusing on developing original technology and strengthening service competitiveness. To this extent, technology that can be attached to and develop all elements that make up a building is becoming more advanced.

It is good news that the ‘zero energy building grade 5 requirement’ will be applied from next year. The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy previously announced ‘BIPV market revitalization measures’ that support the entire cycle from R&D to product mass production. However, it is too early to be optimistic. There are many challenges, such as keeping up with the construction industry and improving the effectiveness of the product certification process.

The ‘automatic opening and closing BIPV system’ is a solution that satisfies the aesthetic characteristics of public housing and public facilities. At the same time, it leads the development of the new and renewable energy industry.

Sunfleur Energy Solution (CEO Kim Jae-hyun) complemented the structural and aesthetic problems of the BIPV installation process. In the case of apartment verandas, installation is possible regardless of the presence or absence of railings, and IoT monitoring is applied.

The opening and closing system operates by judging situations such as the angle of the sun and the operation of the air conditioner. Key features include angle adjustment using the window frame and ‘closing’ using the wind speed sensor.

The operation method can be switched (automatic/manual) depending on the user’s needs. The basic specifications are △generation power of 200~300W △Bus Bar 5BB~10BB △operating temperature range -30~+80℃.

Solar cells can be selected from M10 one-cell, half-cell, and quarter-cell. The automatic opening and closing BIPV system is widely applied to apartment outdoor windows, apartment (house) railings, smart farms, ships, and road sound insulation walls.

Sunfleur Energy Solution has its own production facility in Gumi, Gyeongbuk. A company official explained, “We are able to respond quickly in the development of prototypes for various applications.”

The company is focusing on activities such as ‘securing certification’ and ‘building infrastructure’ to secure market competitiveness. We are preparing to operate ESS interconnection and power generation monitoring services.

In addition, we plan to expand supply to public housing and buildings through collaboration with the window and construction industries.
