MORESCHICK – Thousands of residents China has tested positive for Brucellosis which was caused by a leak at a biopharmaceutical company last year.
The Lanzhou Health Commission, the capital of Gansu province, confirmed that to date 3,245 people have contracted the disease brucellosis.
This disease is usually caused by contact with farm animals that carry bacteria Brucella.

“Another 1,401 people had tested positive initially, although no fatalities were reported, “Said the City Health Commission.
The Municipal Health Commission said the plague it originated from a leak at the Zhongmu Lanzhou biological pharmaceutical plant between the end of July to the end of August 2019.
When producing vaccines Brucella for animals, the factory uses expired disinfectants and sanitizers, which means that not all bacteria are killed in the waste gas.
This polluted exhaust gas forms aerosols which contain bacteria and leak into the air. Then carried by the wind to the Lanzhou Animal Research Institute, place the plague first hit.
