Pilipino Pop Sensations BINI Sweep People’s Choice Awards at the 37th Awit Awards
The 37th Awit Awards, held on December 4th at the Music Museum in San Juan City, Philippines, celebrated the best of Filipino music. Among the night’s biggest winners were the beloved P-pop girl group BINI, who captivated the hearts of fans and took home a staggering five awards in the People’s Voice category.
"The Nation’s Girl Group" charmed their way to victory, earning the titles of Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Favorite Group Artist. Their music video for the inspiring single "Karera" ("Race") was crowned Favorite Music Video of the Year.
"Karera" itself, which empowers listeners to chase their dreams, secured the Favorite Inspirational Recording award. The group’s infectious hit "Pantropiko" ("Tropical") snagged both Favorite Song of the Year and Favorite Record of the Year, cementing its place as a groundbreaking anthem.
While the group dominated the People’s Choice awards, they also received nominations for several prestigious categories, including Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best Performance By A Group, and Best Engineered Recording for "Pantropiko," further highlighting their talent and impact on the Filipino music scene.

Other winners in the People’s Choice category included rising P-pop boy group Yes My Love for Favorite New Group Artist, pop darling Belle Mariano for her EP Somber, and musical stalwarts Sarah Geronimo and Bamboo for their collaborative track "Treading Waters".
