Binh Dinh province currently has 11 artifacts recognized as national treasures by the Prime Minister’s decision. Most of the national treasures in Binh Dinh are Champa sculptures made of stone.

Among them, the Binh Dinh Provincial Museum is displaying 6 national treasures, including: a relief of the goddess Mahishasuramardini (dated to the early 12th century, recognized in 2015), a relief of the god Brahma (dated to the end of the 12th century, recognized in 2016), pair of reliefs of the snake-killing god Garuda (dated 12th – 14th centuries, recognized in 2017), reliefs of goddess Sarasvati (dated in the early 12th century, recognized in 2020), reliefs Dharma guardian god Ma Chua (dated 12th century, recognized in 2021).

In addition to the 6 national treasures mentioned above, Binh Dinh also has 5 other national treasures, including: pair of dharma guardian statues at Nhan Son pagoda, Nhon Hau commune, An Nhon town (dated 12th – 13th centuries, recognized in 2020); Shiva statue at Convex Buddha Pagoda, Nhon Hoi commune, Quy Nhon city (dated 15th century, recognized in 2018); Pair of stone elephant statues in Emperor Citadel, Nhon Hau commune, An Nhon town (dated to the second half of the 12th century, recognized in 2023).

Currently, the museum is implementing a program to digitize information about museum artifacts, especially national treasures, so that visitors can easily look up information related to these unique artifacts, serving their work well. propagate, promote and attract tourists on their journey to Binh Dinh cultural heritage,” Mr. Tinh said.

According to Mr. Lam Hai Giang – Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee, the above national treasures contribute to affirming the unique historical and cultural values ​​of Binh Dinh province in the national cultural heritage treasure. After the artifacts were recognized by the Prime Minister as national treasures, the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh province assigned the Department of Culture and Sports to direct the Binh Dinh Provincial Museum to develop programs and plans on protection, preservation and promote the value of national treasures.

“National treasures are always cleaned and preserved every day. Artifacts are displayed on solemn podiums and pedestals and placed in special preservation regimes; There is a ventilation system to ventilate artifacts to prevent damage, prolong life and increase the value of artifacts,” Mr. Giang said.
