Binance is celebrating the New Year with licenses from two different parts of the world.
The crypto exchange has received a general license from the Central Bank of Bahrain and can therefore operate as a provider of crypto asset services in the Kingdom of Bahrain. According to the announcement, it is the first such approval of its kind for a Binance subsidiary in the region around the Middle East and North Africa.
In a statement, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao said approval from national regulators was “essential to build trust in crypto and blockchain and further promote mass adoption.”
