The 35-year-old Australian singer underwent the operation after being diagnosed with the BRCA1 gene which makes her more likely to develop the disease.
Firerose, whose real name is Johanna Rose Hodges, previously claimed she was forced to postpone the surgery, which was scheduled for May, when her ex Billy Ray Cyrus filed for divorce just 24 hours before she was due to go under the knife.
But now the pop singer has taken to Instagram to share a photo of herself lying in a hospital bed, captioned with the hashtag ‘#previvor #brca #brcaawareness’.
Survivor is a term used to describe someone who has survived the onset of cancer and generally includes someone who is at high risk of developing the disease.
Firerose was previously diagnosed with the BRCA1 gene, a mutation that makes her more susceptible to breast and ovarian cancer, and in March her doctor recommended a double mastectomy.
In the photo she shared on social media, Firerose can be seen lying in a hospital bed before surgery wearing a hospital gown and a simple black tank top.
In the caption he wrote: “Stronger than we can imagine with God at our side.”

It comes just weeks after Firerose and Billy Ray’s marriage finally ended, three months after the country singer, 63, filed for divorce from his wife of less than a year, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
Following an increasingly bitter and public split, during which each accused the other of verbal and emotional abuse, court documents signed earlier this month and obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com show Firerose walked away with $0.
But according to a source, he’s fine with it. “He’s just content to have something to do with her and get away from the situation,” the source told DailyMail.com exclusively.
In most divorce settlements, each party walks away from the brief marriage that brought them together in the first place.

However, the terms of the divorce settlement show that Billy Ray agreed to give up any credit or royalty rights for songs the couple wrote or published together before and during their union.
Billy Ray’s May 22, 2024 divorce filing came just days before Firerose underwent a double mastectomy following her diagnosis with the BRCA gene, which means she is more likely to develop certain cancers.
During an increasingly contentious divorce, Billy Ray appeared to cast doubt on the veracity of this claim by presenting his medical records.
A source said at the time: “Had it gone to trial, Firerose and his team would have provided a significant amount of evidence to show that he had created a narrative that would benefit his public image.”
“She would have definitely divorced me, but it was far more important to her to end this constant smear campaign and end the emotional turmoil so she could close the door on this chapter and recover from her surgery in peace.”

Billy Ray sees things differently, claiming that Firerose only married him to get the last name Cyrus. He said she changed her name from Hodges, her first husband’s last name, just a few weeks ago.
Billy Ray said in a statement to DailyMail.com: ‘I am very relieved.
“It is unfortunate that this happened. It was not just a web of lies that put me in physical danger, it was a matter of the heart.
“Love is blind, that’s for sure,” he added.
