2.6 million households benefit
Don 1 July arrives the bonus sociale on bills which will allow families in conditions of economic hardship to receive a discount on water, electricity and gas utilities. The discount will be activated automatically without any request, it will be sufficient to fill in the single substitutive declaration (Dsu). The concessions were to start on January 1, but, following the observations of the Privacy Guarantor, the Authority for Energy, Networks and the Environment (Arera) had to make a number of adjustments. The new system makes it possible to overcome the previous mechanism of the bonus on request, which over the years had in fact limited the discounts to only one third of the potential beneficiaries. It is estimated that the eligible families are about 2.6 million. Below we see what are the requirements to access the benefits and how they work.
