Billboard Music Awards 2023: Behind-the-scenes photos

The 2023 Billboard Music Awards aired Sunday night (Nov. 18) on BBMAs.watch and BBMA social channels and Billboardfeaturing eight all-new musical performances, plus acceptance speeches from some of the night’s top winners.

But beyond the show, what happened behind the scenes?

Now that you’ve seen the 2023 BBMAs, you can enjoy all the behind-the-scenes magic that went into the creation of these new performances.

We have photos from each of the performances, including Mariah Carey’s winter wonderland; Karol G’s water-soaked stage; Tate McRae’s “greedy” gala; the colorful NewJeans display; the Featherweight boxing ring; the film set of Bebe Rexha and David Guetta; the medley of “S-Class” and “LALALALA” by Stray Kids; and Morgan Wallen’s stadium home run.

There are also behind-the-scenes portraits of the artists and more moments that weren’t seen during Sunday’s broadcast.

In a first-of-its-kind collaboration, the BBMA and Spotify Fans First teamed up to identify the fans who consumed the most hours of music over the past year and helped push their favorite artists to the top of the charts. Billboard. These fans received a “golden ticket” that gave them access to attend BBMA performances curated by their favorite artists. Marriott Bonvoy, Marriott’s travel program and marketplace, presented this year’s BBMAs. Other sponsors included Lexus, which surprised one lucky fan with a VIP treatment: a private ride in a luxury Lexus vehicle for a one-of-a-kind performance.
