American actor Bill Murray has now also confirmed that his on-set behavior towards a woman has led to his latest film being shut down. That writes The Guardian. It is not clear whether production of the film will resume.

Murray described the incident on the set of ‘Being Mortal’ as “a disagreement”, but declined to comment on what specifically happened or who was involved. “I did something that I thought was funny but wasn’t interpreted that way. The film studio then made the right decision to investigate everything thoroughly, so production was halted.”

According to Murray, he is also in talks with the woman in question “to make peace with each other”. “We are both professionals, we are fans of each other’s work. I think we like each other too. But if you can’t get along, or trust each other, there’s no point in finishing the film.”

Murray, 71, admits he struggles to adapt to changing societal norms. “It’s a lesson for me. The world is different than it was when I was a child. What I always thought was funny as a kid isn’t necessarily funny now. Things change over time, and it’s important that I understand that too. Only sad people can no longer learn. I don’t want to be a sad person.”
