“Plasma has the potential to save the lives of Covid patients,” said nationalist senator Carmen Asiaín. He recalled that those who have already recovered may have antibodies in their plasma and donation can save the lives of people suffering from the disease.
The initiative, which seeks to facilitate donation, extends the benefit that already exists, given by law 16,160 of 1990, which grants one day of leave to public or private workers who reliably prove that they have donated blood.
