The billionaire takes part every year in Secret Santa, an event where Reddit visitors draw lots to send each other Christmas gifts.
This year Gates had drawn the fate of a 33-year-old American woman, to whom he sent a large collection of gifts. The package contains several books, Lego kits from Star Wars and Harry Potter, earrings from The Legend of Zelda, Oreo cookies, a Christmas hat and Twin Peaks merchandise.

Mother passed away
Attached to the package was a letter from the billionaire. “Wow, is this your 95th Reddit exchange again? You seem like a generous person, hopefully these gifts will make you happy during the holidays.”
“I know none of these gifts will ever make up for your mother’s loss, I am sorry to hear of her death,” he continues. “I made a donation to the American Heart Association in honor of her.”
The Great Gatsby
Between the books is also an original manuscript from The Great Gatsby, with a handwritten message from Gates in the front. “A gift from one Gatsby super fan to another,” said the billionaire. The woman had incorporated a quote from the original book into the vows at her wedding.
Gates always pays extraordinary attention to his Secret Santa gifts. In 2017, he had the fate of a cat lover, to whom he gave a giant cat hug as a gift, along with a donation of $ 750 to her favorite charity.
