The co-founder of the US software company Microsoft, Bill Gates, has his Board mandate laid down. Gates wanted to gain more time for its various charities, the company said on Friday after the US market closed. The 64-year-old is said to be CEO Satya Nadella and the rest of the management team remain as consultants.
Gates had already emerged from the Daily business of Microsoft retired and resigned as Chairman of the Board of Directors in February 2014. His position on the top executive committee of the group, which is subordinate to the executive board, should not initially be filled. The board of directors shrinks to twelve members.
