Bill August: Master of Scandinavian Cinema

Danish director Bill August is one of the most famous international names in the world of cinema. He is firstly a student of the Swedish teacher Ingmar Bergman, secondly his heir to the throne of Scandinavian cinema, and thirdly he presented a trilogy of films that are considered masterpieces of the seventh art and won first prizes at the Cannes Film Festival: Pelle the Conqueror – 1987, House of the spirit – 1993, Les miserable – 1998.

The new tape: Ehrengard: The art of seduction Ehrengard: Methods of Impressing, is a joint text between: Anders Frittof August and Karen Blixen, in the atmosphere of palaces through a classic drama in 94 minutes, which has been shown on American screens since September 14.

Auguste is one of the most respected energies in the West, and the material in our hands provides a profound lesson in how to deal with time with its decorations, clothes, language, and character traits, and our director preserved it as he reviewed the attempts of Cazotte – Mikkel Bo Volsgaard – the handsome palace painter who is wooed by the country’s princess, the Grand Duchess – Sidis Babette Knadsen – but he was fond of the beauty of another woman whose father was a military commander, called Erengard – Alice Per Zanden – who was engaged to a soldier on the front, but because she was loyal to him, she rejected and thwarted all of Cazote’s attempts to get close to her and trap her.

He teaches the Duchess’s son how to be a man, and secures his quick marriage in order to win the throne. He also arranges a safe place for him and his bride away from the atmosphere because she became pregnant 4 months before the wedding. He suggested to the Duchess that she seek the help of Erengard as a maid of honor to accompany the pregnant princess in order for him to get closer to her, but he was not successful in his endeavor. The title: Methods of Impressing Admiration confirms his failure with the palace painter, who ended up in the Vatican City painting the Pope and senior patriarchs.
