Multilingualism is a valuable resource on an individual and societal level.
As part of its intercultural offer “Colibri”, the Mannheim City Library offers bilingual reading lessons to improve reading and language skills, as well as multilingualism.

in the library laboratory N³ in Dalberghaus N 3, 4
There are two bilingual reading lessons:
At 11 am Agata Kiss and Bettina Henkmann will read “There is still room for dogs and cats” by Axel Scheffler and Julia Donaldson in German and Portuguese.
At 1 pm, Aude Mandil-Dettlinger from the Institut Français Mannheim and Manuela Richter will read “Stockmann” by Axel Scheffler and Julia Donaldson in German and French.
The bilingual reading lessons last one hour each and are aimed at children aged 3 to 8 and their parents.
