The next October 6th, Bilbao will be the scene of a new edition of the Solidarity Race against Breast Cancer, which has already surpassed 4,000 registrations. This event, which turns the city streets into a sea of pink, is organized annually by ACAMBI, the Bizkaia Breast and Gynecological Cancer Associationin collaboration with the Urtzi Gym.
The race will start at eleven in the morning on the esplanade of the Museum Guggenheim and registration, which costs 9 euros, includes a t-shirt, bib, supplies and insurance for participants. In total, 90 tickets have been put on sale 10,000 t-shirts, The proceeds will be donated to breast cancer research projects at the CIC BioGUNE Center in Zamudio. Since 2014, Acambi has managed to contribute 481,061 euros to this cause.
Last year, the Solidarity Race also had a large participation, with More than 8,000 runners who joined the cause, reaffirming the commitment of the citizens of Bilbao in the fight against cancer.
