Bilbao Basket will play salvation in ten days and five games | Radio Bilbao

The ACB has decided this Tuesday to delay one week the last of the journeys of the Regular League and take advantage of those days to play pending matches – postponed by positive cases of COVID-19 and their consequent quarantines. This ensures that all teams play the last two matches at the same time, as is customary in the case of matches in which there is something at stake.

In the case of Bilbao Basket, his quarantine ends this weekend. In the event that all tests are negative, the team would have four days (as established by the League’s protocol) to train and, from there, it could compete again.

It would therefore be between May 12 and 18 when the men in black would have to recover the three pending matches, that is, against Fuenlabrada, Gran Canaria and Burgos, all of them in Miribilla.

Then the match against him Real Madrid, penultimate in the League, will be played between Wednesday 19 and Friday 21 of May. Finally, Álex Mumbrú’s men will close the season on Sunday May 23 against Joventut.

The games, of course, still do not have a definitive date or time. The ACB wants to close the dates of the playoff, and for that the Final Four from Euroleague, in which both Real Madrid and FC Barcelona could be.
