Bilal Wahib’s return to social media is short-lived

Almost a year ago, he was given a ‘lifetime ban’ from the platforms after he and his colleague Oussama Ahammoud incited an underage boy to show his genitals during a live stream on Instagram.

That move had quite a few consequences for Bilal. He lost his record contract, several jobs and his sponsorship. In addition to being banned for the rest of his life, a children’s program he worked on was canceled and he was taken from a police campaign that had the Mocro Mafia actor figurehead.

Earlier Saturday, Bilal reappeared on social media. How this was possible is as yet unclear. Spokespersons for Meta, the parent company of both Instagram and Facebook, made it clear a year ago that Bilal could write a return on both platforms.

The Instagram account, which has since been deleted, was followed by almost forty thousand people, including Bizzey, Rolf Sanchez, Rob Goossens, Demi de Boer and Vincent Visser.
