Bikes offered to the Relais association

The Relais association, and more particularly its Relay for Employment branch, has been helping people in difficulty for the last thirty-two years and in a situation of professional reintegration in Haute Gironde. For the most part, these people have no means of transport and the association helps them with its few vehicles for their journey to their place of work or for various procedures.

Thanks to the Gironde Departmental Council, this service will be able to be improved with the loan of bicycles for short professional and private trips in urban areas. “Following a renewal of the Vcub fleet, a donation of 300 bicycles was made to the Bordeaux association Vélophonie, which then decided to give them free to the Department”, specifies Emmanuelle Lacan-Lalanne, responsible for sustainable mobility.

Mobility aid

The Departmental Council which, during the renewal of its vehicle fleet, had already donated a few cars to reintegration associations, therefore continued its action with this batch of bicycles by distributing them to partners of the Department engaged in aid to the mobility of the public in reintegration.
