People affected by HIV/AIDS in Bihor can benefit from completely free treatments, recalls the County Hospital of Oradea, pointing out that patients with this infection can contact the specialist compartment within the Infectious Diseases II section, for monitoring the evolution of the disease, paraclinical investigations and dispensing medication ARV.
In order to access specific medical services, according to a press release from the County Hospital, the HIV patient is scheduled monthly, on a mutually agreed date, after which the schedule is confirmed by phone (at number 0770.104.252), one day before the presentation. Appointments can be made from Monday to Friday, between 9:00 and 12:00.
The patient presents himself to Room 1 of the Infectious Diseases II Department, where he is consulted by the attending physician, after which biological samples are collected and the necessary documentation is drawn up.
The ARV medication is issued to the patient according to the procedures developed by the County Hospital pharmacy.
The information from the health unit emphasizes that HIV testing is anonymous, with the guarantee of confidentiality and pre- and post-test counseling: “All information regarding the patient’s condition, investigation results, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment and personal data are confidential. This information can only be provided with the explicit consent of the patient”.
