Villa Biarritz’s “Pato” who had reached this instance after defeating Boca Juniors in the quarterfinals (99-81), repeated the plate and showed his best face in the last period to definitively break his rival and seal the victory.

Another brilliant game by Donald Sims (34 points, 8 assists) led the way for the Uruguayan team, accompanied by Brazilian Luis Santos (24 points, 13 rebounds) and Santiago Vidal (8 points, 7 assists and 4 rebounds). In the Argentines the most outstanding was Juan Brusino (22 points and 4 assists).

Now Biguá is waiting for the winner of the duel between Minas Tennis and San Pablo from Brazil to meet his rival in the grand final that will be on Saturday from 7:00 p.m.

Since the Liga de las Américas (today the Basketball Champions League) became the main club tournament on the continent, a Uruguayan has never played in the final. Aguada was third in 2014 and Biguá third in 2009
