showbizThere are serious concerns about Elton John (75). The British singer recently arrived at a German airport in a wheelchair. And even though he shone in a Gucci suit, many fans thought he looked frail.

Why Elton John needs a wheelchair is not yet known. But it seems that the singer has health problems again. He previously postponed the European part of his farewell tour ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour’ due to a corona infection and hip surgery. That raises the question of whether he will make the tour in 2023 — his very last — unscathed.

It is not the first time that Elton has ended up in a wheelchair. In 2019 he also counted on it due to a sprained ankle. In recent years, he increasingly had to deal with health ailments. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2017. He opted for surgery instead of chemotherapy. The operation did not go smoothly, on the contrary. Elton had to deal with a life-threatening infection. Fortunately, he was treated in time, otherwise the singer would probably no longer be with us. “I was 24 hours away from death,” he wrote in his biography.

In 2021, disaster struck again when he tested positive for corona. Fortunately, he was fully vaccinated and said he only had mild symptoms. A while after that, he was forced to postpone his tour until 2023. After a painful fall, he had constant pain in his hip. Hip surgery was therefore inevitable.

Elton John will stop at the Sportpaleis on Saturday 27 May and Sunday 28 May 2023.
