The new 10 metro stations in Sofia, which are currently under construction, will be ready in 2027. This was announced by the capital’s mayor, Vasil Terziev, who inspected the section of the extension of the third line of the metro – railway station. “Hadji Dimitar – residential complex “Levski” in the “Poduene” area.
The mayor also pointed out that with these 10 new stations, the metro will handle 46% of the daily passenger flow. I am very satisfied with the progress in the development of the metro, Terziev also said. He explained that together with the executive director of “Metropolitan” Stoyan Bratoev, they discussed the progress in all directions and the work everywhere is on schedule.
The newly constructed 10 stations are: three metro stations via “Poduene”, six stations via railway station “Slatina” next to Tsarigradsko shose, as well as a metro station on “Pancho Vladigerov” Blvd. on the “Slivnitsa-Obelya” line.
The progress of the second extension of Line 3 in the “Slatina” to “Tsarigradsko shose”, as well as the extension of “Slivnitsa-Obelya” are on schedule, Terziev also said. In his words, in 2026 and 2027 they will have “a lot of ribbons to cut”.
