However, the expected delivery on November 1 was far from what Giovanni Petruzziello had expected.
Instead of the four iPhones he had ordered, he suddenly found himself in possession of 60 high-capacity 1TB models.
The unboxing video, which gained attention after being highlighted by The Daily Dot, shows Petruzziello unboxing three boxes, each filled with 20 iPhones.
The error represents a significant financial consequence for the technology giant of around 100,000 dollars (equivalent to approximately 690,000 Danish kroner), not including VAT and taxes.
In the video, Giovanni expressed his concern about the consequences of sharing the incident online, as Apple would likely discover the lack of storage space.
Many viewers have argued that Giovanni should be honest with Apple and return the phones, as Apple would likely have discovered the error at some point.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max is part of Apple’s latest flagship series, presented at Apple’s annual event in September 2023, with improvements such as a titanium frame, advanced 5x optical zoom and the new A17 Pro chip.
It is not yet known whether Apple has been made aware of the error, or whether Giovanni himself has contacted Apple.
