A big-name coach is probably furious at the mockery of himself these days.
Jose Mourinho has certainly written in the “black notebook” with his enemies another one – Galatasaray. It’s not enough that this is the Portuguese-led Fenerbahce’s biggest opponent, and the club allowed themselves a taunt with Jose that he will not forget.
Following Saturday’s 3-1 win at the arch-rivals’ stadium, a book cover collage titled “The Crying One” appeared on Galatasaray’s official club social media account. This is a play on words and sarcasm with Jose’s nickname – The Special One (The Special One), which has gone with Mourinho’s name in football for 20 years.
Hours after the appearance of the collage, to which the slogan was added:
“On sale soon in bookstores in Kadıköy” (which is the neighborhood where Fenerbahçe’s stadium is), the picture disappeared from Galatasaray’s profile.
But the irony didn’t stop there.
A photo of Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk appeared, under which it was written: The Winner One. It is obvious to whom this “arrow” is directed.
One thing is certain – when Fenerbahçe meet Galatasaray in their second game of the season, Jose will have extra motivation to win.
