A group of teenagers climbed a path up to the forest and shortly afterwards three large explosions of pirates were heard, says an eyewitness.
A large fire broke out this afternoon in a pine forest above Varna’s Asparuhovo district. It burns an area of nearly 30 acres.
Six teams responded to the signal for the fire, two of which were called to work overtime, as well as a dozen forest officials, a correspondent of bTV.
Their efforts did not allow the fire to transform into a peak – only dry grass burned.
Forest crews will be on duty at the site throughout the night.
“We will be ready and if they call us we will come again,” said Commissioner Tihomir Totev, director of the Varna RDPBZN.
