Firefighters were called tonight due to a fire in an apartment in Wolvega, Friesland. It was initially suspected that there were still people in the building. After an inspection, just before midnight, it was discovered that this was not the case.
The fire broke out on the first floor of a building in Van der Sandeplein shortly after 9pm and was only under control at 11.15pm. At that moment the fire master’s signal was also given. Four fire trucks and a cherry picker have been deployed.
On the spot, a woman was checked in an ambulance for possible smoke inhalation.
