No casualties, extinguished in 2 hours and 45 minutes

A large fire broke out at a traditional market in Dong-gu, Incheon, burning 55 stores. Fortunately, it was found that there were no casualties. The fire was completely extinguished in 2 hours and 45 minutes.
The Incheon Fire Department announced that a fire broke out at Hyundai Market in Songlim-dong, Dong-gu, Incheon at around 11:38 pm on the 4th. When the fire broke out, flames and black smoke soared, prompting reports from nearby residents.
At around 0:05 a.m. on the same day, 27 minutes after the fire broke out, the fire authorities issued a ‘second stage of response’ to mobilize personnel and equipment from nearby fire departments. The fire department mobilized 52 equipment and 154 people, including fire trucks, to extinguish the fire at around 1:31 a.m. that day.
When the fire was caught, it was downgraded to ”Response Stage 1”, in which manpower and equipment from the local fire department were put in at around 1:56 am that day, and then the fire was completely extinguished at around 2:23 am that day, 27 minutes later.
The fire department said that the fire burned 55 out of 212 stores in Hyundai Market that day. Fortunately, he said there were no casualties.
Vice Minister of Public Administration and Security Han Chang-seop gave an urgent order to “mobilize all available equipment and manpower to put all efforts into suppressing the fire.” Vice Minister Han said, “I hope that related organizations such as the Fire Administration, Incheon City, and Dong-gu Office will do their best to prevent safety accidents for firefighters in the process of fighting fires.”
As soon as the fire is extinguished, the fire department plans to investigate the cause of the fire and the specific scale of property damage as soon as the day dawns.
