Dozens of people clashed with each other at a fair in Amsterdam-Zuidoost last night. The police received a report around 10 p.m. that at least fifty people were fighting on Anton de Komplein.
Moments later, officers saw that a number of people were indeed fighting, who then fled. One of them threw away a firearm which then went off, presumably unintentionally.
Police arrested two people and fired a warning shot. The discarded firearm and another weapon were found nearby.
It is not yet clear whether people were injured in the fight or by the bullet from the weapon that was thrown away. Police hope witnesses can provide more information.
