Duchess Kate Middleton tried what she always wanted. At least for a while, she became a real photographer. She tried out the profession on her husband, Prince William, and then took several portraits of Duchess Camilla for a special anniversary project.
Kate and Camilla have joined forces and participated in the creation of the anniversary issue of Country Life magazine. It is Duchess Camilla who is the star of the cover of his latest issue, and the author of her new portrait was an amateur royal photographer – Duchess Kate.
Camilla personally asked the Duchess of Cambridge to take a series of portraits for her at Raymill Gardens. These are part of a country estate in Wiltshire that belongs to Camille, the portal reported Mirror.
“The Duchess of Cambridge took our cover images at the request of our guest editor, the Duchess of Cornwall. We couldn’t be happier with the results. In fact, the set of images Kate took was so good that it was difficult to choose just three, of which the Duchess from Cornwall then chose,” said the editor of the magazine Country Life Paula Lester.
The cover image of Prince Charles’ wife is very relaxed. A smiling Duchess Camilla sits on a bench in a blue and white floral dress and blue sweater, holding a pot full of geraniums ready to be transplanted. In other photos, he is walking through the gardens.
“We are thrilled that our guest editor, Duchess Camilla, has been captured so spectacularly by the Duchess of Cambridge. We are honored that our magazine has been chosen to be the first to publish this beautiful photograph,” said Mark Hedges, Editor-in-Chief of Country Life.
“The photographs are wonderful and we would love to offer the Duchess of Cambridge another commission!” Hedges added, praising Kate for her professionalism.
Prince William’s wife has been passionate about photography for a long time. She regularly posts pictures of her children on their birthdays and is also a patron of the Royal Society of Photographers.
