Big changes are expected on the new Volkswagen Tayron L. If the crossover first generation sold mainly in China, its successor will become a “global” model and will be imported in more countries. In particular, in the US and Canada it will replace the seven-seat Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace.

The car is similar to the new third generation Volkswagen Tiguan, but it still looks more aggressive. It has a wider grille and more pronounced rear fenders, and the sides are decorated with stamps. The R Line version has a more interesting design.
The Volkswagen Tayron L crossover is built on the same MQB Evo platform as the Tiguan, but is 133 mm longer.

The new Volkswagen Tayron L will initially be offered with 1.5 liter (160 hp) and 2.0 liter (186 and 220 hp) turbo petrol engines. A 272-horsepower plug-in hybrid will appear later.
