Liese Luwel, last year finalist of Big Brother, has multiple sclerosis. The Limburger herself announced this on Instagram. Liese is currently hospitalized because she suffered from blurred, cloudy vision. MS has been diagnosed there.
“Hi! I have some less good news. To answer many questions at once, I thought it might be better to make a post out of it,” Liese writes with a photo of herself. Instagram† “I was admitted to hospital yesterday because I had a blurry cloudy vision in my right eye since Sunday morning that just wouldn’t go away. I went to my GP and he referred me to an ophthalmologist.”
Examinations at that ophthalmologist showed that there is nothing wrong with Liese’s eyes. So she went to the emergency room to do further neurological examinations. “Yesterday and today I received a Baxter Solu-Medrol, that is to promote the improvement of my eye, but it does not guarantee a cure. In other words, this can also be permanent. I won’t know this for a few weeks. Tomorrow I’ll get another baxter like that,” she explains.
Multiple Sclerose
In the meantime, Liese also received the verdict of all examinations from the neurologist. “I have an autoimmune disease. I have MS. Multiple sclerosis”, she shares the harsh diagnosis. “They all see spots on my brain that indicate previous inflammations, but from which I didn’t get any symptoms. This time I did, through my optic nerve. I’m still getting appointments with the MS specialist to start medication, etc. so I don’t have any news about that yet.”
“My clock has stopped for a moment. I’m a very positive person, you know that, so I also believe that this can be treated well and I’m going to find the best doctors to guide me. So we’ll see. †Even intented)”, Liese concluded with a wink.
