Rosy Chin is one of the first “unknown” competitors proposed by Big Brother. A chef of Chinese origins, he brought his life story into the House, already quickly touched on by the host Alfonso Signorini, with the promise of delving deeper into his life over the next few weeks. “No web stars”, however, the host had said in his declaration of intent pronounced at the beginning of the episode of the reality show broadcast on Monday 11 September. Rosy, however, seems to have all the air of a social phenomenon. Her Instagram account already has over 300 thousand followers, a lot for a woman who is described as a “stranger”.

Rosy described herself like this in her presentation video: “I am 37 years old, I am a mother, a chef, an entrepreneur and a wife. I was born and raised in Milan and I define myself as too Italian for the Chinese and too Chinese for the Italians. It was very difficult for me to make these two cultures of mine coexist. I grew up in a very rigid, very strict family, with a very strong culture. My parents are restaurateurs, I have always helped them in their restaurants, I would have preferred to play with dolls or my little girls but out of a sense of duty I had to suffer in silence”. I had a terrible relationship with food. For me he was an enemy. I drowned every problem in food. I was completely different, I had 60 kilos of anger, 60 kilos of more responsibility on me. Then I thought about my children. They deserve a more dynamic mother. I needed to be reborn and I found my harmony. Food has become my greatest ally.”
